re: Shamanly -- Elemental Shaman

1. a. BattleTag: Studmiester#1434

    b. Character Name: Shamanly

2. Class: Shaman

3. Current Server: Mal'ganis

4. Primary Raiding Spec (if you have a raid-viable off-spec, let us know): Elemental, Resto

5. Give us a link to your armory while logged out in PvE equipment:

6. What raiding experience did you have in Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cata, MoP, WoD and more recently in the current expansion?

Started playing in WotLK, cleared normals in Cata. Raided very casual in WoD, only the first mythic bosses of any tier on differing classes. Started pushing mythic in Emerald Nightmare as a ret paladin, swapped to ele after Nighthold and have climbed my way up the world ranking ever since.

In for every boss on prog as an ele shaman since I swapped.
7. What guilds were you previously in? Under what circumstances did you leave?

<Pathogen> Mal'ganis

Left because of officer indifference, there was too much toleration for poor performance and not enough recruitment going on to make anyone's raid spot competitive.

Leaving because of officer stubbornness, lack of transparency and overall treatment as a raider. Not confident with them or the current roster moving forward.

8. Our standard raid schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8PM ET to 11PM ET.  If you are unable to maintain 90% raid attendance please inform us. Excessive absences and/or being late will result in loss of spot and/or removal from guild. Discord, a Microphone, and a Boss Mod are required in Infinity raids. Understood?

Sounds great! I'm good with a mic, needed it a lot on G'huun.

9. Link your detailed rankings from Warcraftlogs.

10. Provide a screenshot of your UI in a raid environment.

11. Describe a "recent" raid boss that demonstrates how you exceed the requirements of your current role (DPS/Healing/Tanking). This may involve using a special spec, a non-standard rotation, or non-standard gear/glyphs.

During our initial Zul progression, we lacked the damage (rogues) to push the phase before the 2nd set of Blood Hexers. During that encounter, I was the one managing the debuff so we could get it on the right targets. Hitting this wall of the second hexers every time, I suggested we kill 1 hexer and CC the other, giving us greater odds of the second set not spawning on top of that hexer. It also gave us a fail-safe situation where in the event that they did spawn on one another, we could grip/push the hexer away, have 3 CCd and push into phase 2. Using this method bought us the extra time we needed to get into phase 2 without instantly wiping. In the end, we just recruited another rogue and brought in a rogue casual for Zul, so we didn't even need it.

12. Age: 23

13. Gender: Male

14. How did you hear about Infinity? Friend got recruited -- Ploppy

15. Why do you wish to join Infinity and what convinces you that you would be a good addition to Infinity? What sets you apart?

Infinity looks like a stable group of similarly skilled players looking to clear content efficiently. Having lasted this long, the officers are most likely very skilled at what they do, which is a breath of fresh air from my past guild experiences.

I am extremely confident with myself on any class I'm put on. I love optimizing and doing whatever that class does best for the raid's well being. I can't stand being bad at something, let alone letting other people down and I always do my best to prevent those things from happening. I like to verse myself with other classes so I know their strengths and I try to play around them as well. In short, I'm a team player.

I don't feel tied down by shaman and would be willing/capable of playing almost every other dps class. I have a Spriest that I was gearing if needed in the next tier, but he's not currently mythic ready.

16. This is an old guild with a family/friend-like atmosphere. It is important that we get to know you, so tell us a little about yourself.

This is my last year in college, graduating with a major in Social Science Education. I plan on teaching either MS or HS US history. I like playing online games and I love getting good at them. My ideal date would be sunset at the beach, casual dinner at a local joint and a movie at her place.

re: Shamanly -- Elemental Shaman

Unfortunately we have decided to deny your application. We generally don't recruit elemental shamans due to the spec's poor progression capabilities. If you switch to a different spec and obtain new logs, you're welcome to reapply. Thank you for your interest in Infinity, and best of luck in your guild search.
