re: Telt - MM hunter

BASIC CHARACTER INFORMATION/HISTORY:

1. a. BattleTag: Fallen#1780

    b. Character Name: Telt

2. Class: Hunter

3. Current Server: Mal'ganis

4. Primary Raiding Spec (if you have a raid-viable off-spec, let us know): Marksmanship

5. Give us a link to your armory while logged out in PvE equipment: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/malganis/telt

6. What raiding experience did you have in Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cata, MoP, WoD and more recently in the current expansion?

I don't have any raiding experience from Vanilla. In TBC I did very casual raiding, which carried into WotLK until I stopped playing a bit before Ulduar came out. Came back for ICC and managed to do most of the bosses on heroic, although I think most of those were post-nerf. In Cata I joined a guild called Casually Addicted on Gilneas and did more serious raiding, clearing everything up until heroic Ragnaros with rankings somewhere around US 100th for 25 man, at which point the GM and some of the officers basically left over a weekend for reasons I never found out. After that I stopped playing until sometime during Dragon Soul. I cleared heroic Dragon Soul with a guild I knew some people in near the end of the expansion and stopped playing again until Legion. I pugged my way through early Legion, doing normal and heroic EN until I was approached by Elysian (named changed to Pirates) on Stormrage and I've been there since. While not too impressive I've gotten all the Cutting Edge kills for the current expansion.
Gul'dan: US 327
Helya: US 393
KJ: US 175
Argus: US 194

7. What guilds were you previously in? Under what circumstances did you leave? DETAILS ARE IMPORTANT.

As noted above, Pirates on Stormrage, now on Mal'ganis, which I've been with for basically all of Legion. The guild has some great people and I'm not leaving on bad terms but has been slowly changing, mostly due to new leadership and officers. To me it feels like the guild doesn't have a very clear direction and there have been some questionable decisions when it comes to handling issues with members, new recruits, and even some loot. Some of the more recent raid days have been frustrating for me and clearing Antorus has been taken longer than I think it should. All that being said it's not a terrible place but on top of a few other people leaving, some of which I consider closer friends, I'm looking for a stronger guild that has better structure to push progression with.

INFINITY REQUIREMENTS CHECK:

8. Our standard raid schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8PM ET to 11PM ET.  If you are unable to maintain 90% raid attendance please inform us. Excessive absences and/or being late will result in loss of spot and/or removal from guild. Discord, a Microphone, and a Boss Mod are required in Infinity raids. Understood?

Understood.

PLAYER PERFORMANCE:

9. Link your detailed rankings from Warcraftlogs.

10. Provide a screenshot of your UI in a raid environment.

11. Describe a "recent" raid boss that demonstrates how you exceed the requirements of your current role (DPS/Healing/Tanking). This may involve using a special spec, a non-standard rotation, or non-standard gear/glyphs.

As a hunter there are usually things you can soak with turtle shell, such as the knock back mines on Imonar's bridge or the rent soul orbs on Argus. Other than that Coven would be an example of a non-standard spec where you use sidewinders for the spread cleave on both bosses and adds, assuming the tanks have them in a spot that allows it. I've also been the 3rd tank for Varimathras and Aggramar on my blood dk alt. On Varimathras I escort people with plagues and try to spawn adds in a convenient spot for the dps to kill. On Aggramar I do add management, which includes calling out knock backs and picking adds to death grip into the boss. I realize the off-tank stuff may not be very relevant to my application but it felt worth mentioning.

PERSONAL RESPONSES:

12. Age: 27

13. Gender: Male

14. How did you hear about Infinity? Wowprogress

15. Why do you wish to join Infinity and what convinces you that you would be a good addition to Infinity? What sets you apart?

The main reasons why I want to join is your schedule, no alt requirement, and of course your ranking. It seems like you have a nice raid environment that is very efficient and effective and I want to be a part of that. I think I'm pretty consistent, able to adapt well, generally have good awareness, and a good understanding of raid mechanics. I don't mind being the one to do necessary mechanics and take one for the team, and I'm not one to cause drama or rage at people. I'm always looking to push myself to improve and learn from past failures, sims, logs of my own performance and other hunters, as well as the occasional youtube video or twitch vod. I realize I'm not perfect and I take responsibility for my mistakes, I'm level headed and always open to constructive criticism and suggestions.

16. This is an old guild with a family/friend-like atmosphere. It is important that we get to know you, so tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Tyler and I live in Atlantic Canada. I'm a simple and laid-back guy, a bit reserved but I generally get along well with everyone. I'm a fan of gaming, anime, and lots of different genres of music, especially electronic.

Unfortunately we have decided to deny your application. Your logs are solid and we like your application overall. However we're currently full on hunters, and we need to finalize our roster before we consider adding new hunters. If a position opens in the near future, we will keep your application in mind.

Thank you for your interest in Infinity, and best of luck in your guild search.
